Jess and Glee actress Dianna Agron have been known to be friends for a long time. Recently Dianna launched a new website (YouMeandCharlie.com) and posted a sweet little story about their friendship.

This is a story about my friend JESSICA. She was one of the very first friends I made in Los Angles, and she showed myself, and the rest of our friends a kindness I wasn’t expecting to find that quickly in a strange new place. It kind of threw me, in a wonderful positive way. She was dedicated, she was consistently working on her craft, auditioning, filming. Then one day, years later, she said, “I need to move to New York.” She just felt it. Her agents and manager told Jess that she was crazy, that she should book a job in the big apple before moving there. What was she thinking?? Jess didn’t listen. She found the first place she was going to be staying at, and a week or so after her decision, she booked a job….in New York. Jess was the perfect fit for Vanessa in the new series, Gossip Girl. The point being, Jessica created her destiny, and didn’t let other people sway her decision. And it all worked out! This was the first day I visited her on set, I remember how proud I was. Jess is pure love and support. When I took this picture I felt like the ultimate proud Mom. I had not booked Glee. Money was tight. I didn’t care. Didn’t feel one ounce of jealousy, or pain. I knew I would get there too. Follow you heart, your true friends, and let love in. It is amazing what results ensue.

Great news! Even more movies for Jess!

Nikki Reed, Sean Faris, Stephen Lang, Marton Csokas, Jessica Szohr and Jonathan Bennett have joined the cast of the indie crime thriller Pawn. Michael Chiklis is starring in and producing the project through his Extravaganza Films.

Chiklis, Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta and Common lead the cast in the story of a botched hostage situation that involves the mob. David A. Armstrong (cinematographer on the Saw films) is directing a screenplay by Jay Anthony White.
Producing along with Chiklis are Michael Becker of Imprint Entertainment, Jeff Most of Most Films and Brad Luff.

Jason Priestly will host the 39th International Emmy Awards, the International Academy announced Monday. It is the second consecutive year Priestley will have hosted the ceremony. This year’s gala takes place Nov. 21 at the Hilton New York.

Additionally, Richard Parsons, Citigroup chairman and former chairman and CEO of Time Warner, and Good Wife star Archie Panjabi will present the International Emmy Directorate Award to Subhash Chandra, founder of ZEE TV India.

Jess tweeted earlier today that she’s in England, and it looks like she’s started work on ‘Love Bite’. Women’s Wear Daily posted this little blurb:

Jessica Szohr has more to gossip about. The former “Gossip Girl” star — and face of Kohl’s new boot brand Aqua Stop — is currently in London filming the upcoming flick “Love Bite.” “It’s kind of like a love story [with] a werewolf story, too,” she said. But even with a bustling film career, don’t count her out of the TV world. While Szohr’s GG character Vanessa Abrams parted ways with her New York cohorts last season, she said you never know what the future holds. “The door has been left open, so you could see her [character] — or maybe not,” she hinted. And Szohr hasn’t put her love for fashion on hold either, which she said made the Aqua Stop gig a good fit. “[Being] from Wisconsin, I know how hard that can be [to look fashionable in bad weather],” she said. “You still want to feel comfortable and sexy, and shoes can make or break the outfit.”

Jessica Szohr is enlisting Bobbi Brown to teach her how to apply make-up.

The American star appears on Gossip Girl and since landing the role of Vanessa Abrams she’s begun to realise it’s important she looks her best all the time.

The actress recently modelled bright make-up looks for a British magazine and the shoot inspired her to learn more about cosmetics.

“I’m not good at doing my own make-up, but I’d love to wear colours more. So I’ve booked in for a masterclass with Bobbi Brown to learn how to do them properly,” she told InStyle.

The star modelled when she was a little girl. However, she was unsure what career path she wanted to take so decided to concentrate on her studies rather than fashion.

“I modelled for [American store] Khol’s when I was six but I didn’t know what I wanted to do career-wise,” she explained. “I enrolled at art school to do interior design, but then landed roles on CSI: Miami and Gossip Girl.”

Jess spoke to Music Rooms about learning guitar for her role in ‘Light Years’.

The actress had to take up the instrument for one of her roles. She’s always loved music so looked forward to strumming the strings – before she realised how tough she’d find mastering it.

“I love seeing live bands with my friends – I like everything from classic to country to rock. The last album I downloaded was The Strokes. I’m learning the guitar for my next role and it’s given me a new respect for musicians as it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she laughed.

Looks like Jess has another movie up her sleeve!

LONDON – Ed Speleers (Eragon), Luke Pasqualino (The Borgias) and Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl) are traveling to Scotland to shoot Love Bite, directed by Andy de Emmony.

Emmony’s movie, billed as a sex comedy/horror, is set to shoot in Scotland at the beginning of October.

U.K. production banner Ecosse Films is teaming with Notting Hill Films to mount the movie.

The script details the story of four friends who find their dead-end town in turmoil after a bloodthirsty werewolf starts gnawing local virgins. The quartet subsequently realize that losing their virginity might provide the best route to survival.

Jessica Szohr found a role model in Sarah Jessica Parker while shooting the comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It.

“She’s so wonderful and so sweet,” the former Gossip Girl star, 26, tells me at DKNY’s Sunglass Soiree held at The Beach at The Dream Downtown. “To see someone who’s a mom and travels and is a fashion icon and a wonderful wife, to see how she keeps it all together, and still has a huge smile on her face, and is just so genuine … it was very inspiring and awesome.”

She continues, “It’s ironic because it’s like the character she plays – a woman who has a full-time job, as a mom, as a wife, and a profession – to see her do that, and play this role, was neat.”

Although Jessica didn’t meet her twins Loretta and Tabitha, now 2, during the two times their paths crossed on set, Sarah Jessica showed her photos.

“She talks about them all the time,” she says. “They have an amazing family.”
